Io sono…ora!

This project stems from an introspective survey in which people of different ages and backgrounds completed the phrase “I am…” to express their current identity. Their words are printed on the canvas and overlaid by a symbolic tank top, representing humanity—each person’s experiences, emotions, joys, struggles, and wounds. Marked by splashes of blood, burns, and tears, the tank top reflects both physical and spiritual suffering, symbolizing how a person, born pure, is shaped and often scarred by society. A red thread stitches the tank top to the canvas, symbolizing the bond with life—unchosen, yet deeply rooted. The work, presented in 3D anaglyph imagery, comes alive, visually expressing the disconnection between what we say and what we do, and revealing the multiple selves that coexist within each individual.
